A month of thanks - day 7

I am thankful for all the people who put the effort into making trick or treating a fun time for my kids. It seems like less and less people have been doing it around here but those that did really made it great. We went two times, once here in town and once with my parents where they live and. My kids made out like bandits. I know times are tough for a lot of people and they do not have to do this so it makes me extra thankful.

A month of thanks - day six

I am thankful for my husband's job. He was unemployed for seven months last year and it was a tough time for us. Now he is in a place that he enjoys, we are getting back on track with everything and he is in a good company.

A month of thanks - Day five

I was not able to post this yesterday, for some reason my blog just did not want to load so I am posting two today.

I am thankful for how healthy my kids are. We get colds and other minor illnesses but over all they are really healthy. I see so many people talk about the chronic illnesses their children have and it makes me very thankful that my kids are healthy.

A month of thanks day four

Today I am thankful for my home. It can be hard to think this way sometimes since we are dealing with a lot of issues in our house right now but at least I have a place to call my own. My kids have a place to play, we have a roof over our heads, we are cool in the summer, warm in the winter and we have a place to be together.
I spent most of the day laying around since I was not feeling very well and I just got to thinking about the fact that I tend to complain about the house instead of being thankful for the the fact that we have one. Yes, the house needs work, we do have lead paint in the house and it needs to be dealt with but over all we are blessed and I need to think of it that way more often.

Week 22

A little late posting, I simply forgot. I did get Destiny's tutu done and she is thrilled with it. She wore it around the house all day when it was done and is really happy that between parties, events and trick or treating she gets to wear her costume four times.



Next week - I have hairbows, tutus and more to make so who knows what I will post!

A month of thanks - day 3

Today I am going to write about how thankful I am for my crafting abilities. I love making stuff for my kids and for others. Destiny ( my oldest daughter ) loves hair bows, tutus and all that girly stuff, I spent a lot on it before I just decided to start doing it myself. Now I have three girls, enough hair bows for double that and I still make more just because I can. Being crafty is something I enjoy, it relaxes me and gives me something fun to do. 

30 day of thanks - Day 2

Now I know this is going to sound overly mushy and something any mom would be thankful for but today I am thankful for my kids. I always wanted to be a mother and I always wanted a house full of kids. I am lucky enough that I have both of those things. I have been a mom since I was nineteen, I love every moment of it. My kids may be naughty at times, they certainally test the boundaries of my patience level but I love them to pieces and my life would not be complete without them.
