I have not spent a lot of time on here lately but there are some exciting posts coming soon!
I am going to do a post on making the most of the space you have, fitting two kids into a small space, there will be a diaper package giveaway and other posts in the works. Be on the look out!
I started this blog to share with others the things I do as a mother. That will include product reviews, recipes, information on things I find important when it comes to my children and so much more!

Deckydoodle shirt review
I was lucky enough to win a really adorable shirt for Destiny from an awesome WAHM Deckydoodle. I have been wanting to get some shirts for her for awhile and Destiny loves pretty shirts so when I saw this go up for auction I could not let it pass without bidding.
I let Destiny open the package and she was thrilled when she saw the shirt. She wore it today.
I highly recommend getting shirts from Deckydoodle, they are adorable, her customer service is wonderful and I know the mom behind Deckydoodle and she is really sweet!

Journey of fluff - part 4
My diaper stash is really starting to come together. I really happy with all the things I have so far. We have set up the date for the ultrasound, we will hopefully be finding out the gender of our little bean on the 28th of Feb.
Since my last post I have gotten a few more things. Since we are really close to finding out the gender I have not been buying anything, I have only been doing trades for items that I just really wanted to have for my stash. We will be finding out the gender right after getting our tax return back and I am prepared to finish my stash with things for the babies gender once we know which gender we are being blessed with.
I got this adorable pair of longies from a trade on diaperswappers.
I got all these items from trading with my one and only friend that cloth diapers also. I had some pul covers of Kairi's that just did not work for her anymore and a couple pair of recycled longies that she outgrew so we swapped some items.
The tote that I am storing all my newborn goodness in is to the point of overflowing. I am going to need to get another tote to finish my shopping. I honestly do not need a whole lot more. I would like to get some more small bg and xsmall bg aios, a few small nana bottom aios and some summer wool.
My total spent so far is still sitting at $140.

Mashed potato and beef casserole
Looking for something easy and simple for dinner? This is my take on a recipe I found in a cook book I have.
Mashed potato and beef casserole
Ingredients-
1lb hamburger
salt
pepper
garlic
1.5 cups cut baby carrots ( I cut them into thirds )
2 stalks chopped celery
2 cups beef broth
mashed potatoes
Brown the hamburger in a skillet, add the salt, pepper and garlic while the meat is cooking. After the hamburger is done combine in a large casserole dish with the carrots, celery and beef broth. Cook uncovered for about an hour or until carrots are soft at 350. Top with mashed potatoes, cover and cook for another 15 mins.
Serve and enjoy!

Home schooling- dealing with unwanted advice
My son is about to turn five which has started the long line of people asking him if he is excited to go to school, of course then I have to explain that my children are home schooled. While I have been lucky and most people have nothing negative to say, I have run into a few people that thought they needed to give advice on why I should not home school my children, while I find this a little upsetting and rude I have been able to remain civil and never let them get under my skin.
I think the worst thing I have ever dealt with was when my son was actually just a baby, I was at a family gathering on my husband's side and one of his relatives was talking to me about Alex, the conversation started out pretty normally, just asking about how he was doing and normal questions that you would ask about a baby. Then for some reason she asked if we were going to use preschool for him. I told her we would not using the public school system at all because we are going to home school him. That is when she told me I really should think about putting him in school, how she knew home schooled children that were socially backwards and school is vital to his social development, he needs to have friends and kids make most of their friends in school. I let her finish what she was saying and went on to explain how I was hom schooled in middle and high school, was able to make many friends still and it in no way hurt me socially. Home schooling gave me the chance to learn at my pace, in a way that was best suited to me and take classes that were not offered at the school in my town. I went on to graduate at 16 and then work full time for two years before I got married and started my family. After hearing this she quickly changed the subject and I dropped it.
I am not sure why people think they need to give their advice or views on the educational choices my husband and I are making for our kids but I know that it will continue and will probably get worse as they get older. The best thing to so is remain polite when unwanted advice is given, offer facts when questions are asked and show them why home schooling is the best choice for our family.
